Our Beliefs
The Short Answer
We believe that there is one holy and all-powerful God that created the universe, and in his perfect love and wisdom we owe him our love, reverence and obedience.
We believe that God created Man and gave us the freedom of choice.
We believe that we blew it—we disobeyed God and brought sin into humanity. Because of that we became separated from God and doomed
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God—that God came down from heaven as a human—and lived a perfect and blameless life.
We believe that by Jesus’s death on the cross and resurrection he redeemed us from the penalty of our sins and allowed us again to have personal relationships with God.
We believe that the salvation offered by the death and resurrection of Jesus is offered freely to everyone who accepts Christ as their Savior and commits their life to follow him as Lord.
We believe that the Church is a group of baptized believers that come together to hold each other accountable to Christ as Lord, to encourage each other, to teach each other, to help each other, and to reach outside the church to help others and tell them about the Good News of the salvation Jesus offers (the Gospel) until Jesus returns in power and glory to judge the world.
