Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Coats for the City has begun the 2022 collection season! Volunteers have already started reaching out to the community and we are beginning to receive coats! Now is the time to get an early start shopping for new and gently used coats so that we can meet our 2022 goal of 4,000 coats by November! Parents, please reach out to your child’s school principal and request they donate any unwanted Lost & Found items. If you are interested in volunteering in the Coats Ministry, please contact Pastor Larry Kirby.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993, more than 188 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but also gives them a tangible expression of God’s love. Tens of thousands of volunteers from local churches around the world partner with us to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ at festive outreach events where children are surprised with these shoebox gifts. For more information on making a contribution to OCC or backing a shoebox, please contact Marsha McDaniel.

As we proclaim Jesus, The Christ, as the Head of the Church and the manifested Word of God, our goal is to teach the Word of God with simplicity and understanding so that it may be applied to our everyday lives in a practical and effective manner; thereby being transformed into World Changers – changing our immediate world and all those with whom we come in contact – ultimately making a mark that cannot be erased. Each year students and adults from First Baptist participate in a World Changer missions project. For more information on World Changers, please contact Pastor Josh Howland.
