Small Groups @ FBC Summerfield

April 27 - June 8, 2022 (7 weeks)

  • "Life-Changing Prayer" by Jim Cymbala / Facilitated by Pastor Kelly Bullard  (Co-Ed)
Join Pastor Kelly as he works through Jim Cymbala’s, “Life-Changing Prayer.” In this study, you will explore how God promises in his Word to always hear you, answer you, and extend his mercy when you come to him. As you pray with faith, he will provide his perfect peace and "meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory" (Philippians 4:19). Be sure to register and discover how prayer can completely transform your life and put you in the presence of God's throne of grace.

  • "Person of Interest" by J. Warner Wallace  / Facilitated by John & Bonnie Hannon (Co-Ed)
Join John & Bonnie Hannon as they work through J. Warner Wallace’s, “Person of Interest.” In this study, you will investigate the Man who changed the course of human history. J. Warner Wallace employs a unique investigative strategy to confirm the historicity and deity of Jesus, showing why Jesus is unlike any other person who has ever lived. This is a great study for any who are looking to grow in their ability to practice Christian apologetics (defending the Christian faith) with their family, co-workers, or any who do not believe in the claims of Christianity.

  • "Return to Me: God's Promise & Please to His Church" by Claude V. King / Facilitated by Marla Young & Buster/Michele Pridgen (Co-Ed)
Join Marla, Buster, and Michele as they work through Claude King’s “Return to Me.” "Return to Me: God's Plea and Promise to His Church" is a tool to help individuals, small groups, and churches hear and respond to God's heartfelt plea to return to Him so He can restore life and vitality to us. When we are the people God intends us to be, Jesus said, "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." These are critical days when we need to thoroughly examine ourselves and return to being the person and people God intends us to be.  Participants in this campaign will learn to better:  Love God, Love Others, Surrender All, Be Transformed, Join God's Mission, and Glorify God.

  • "Reel to Real: Of Fish & Men" / Facilitated by Jay Allen (Men's Study)
Join Jay as he works through the video-based study, “Reel to Real.” In this study, you will listen in as five guys use the sport of fishing to talk about temptations, trophy catches, the one that got away, and that day when the fishing season finally ends-for all of us. This is going to be a great study for men to come together and discuss what it looks like to walk with Christ daily in a world full of distractions, temptations, and missed opportunities.

  • "Fight Back With Joy" by Margaret Feinberg / Facilitated by Lindsey Bullard (Women's Study)
Join Lindsey as she works through Margaret Feinberg’s video-based study, “Fight Back with Joy.” This cherished virtue has been wrapped in clichés, stamped on coffee mugs, and sewn onto decorative pillows for decades, but joy is so much more than that. Joy is more than a cliché or decorative word? What if joy, genuine, Christ-centered joy, was a spiritual weapon we can use to fight—and overcome—life’s greatest battles? Be sure to register for this study and see how joy can help you in your daily walk with Christ.

  • "Next Steps: Maturity 201: Spiritual Disciplines" / Facilitated by Pastor Eric Simmons (Co-Ed)
Have you completed Membership 101? If so, plan on joining Pastor Eric as he leads Maturity 201. Maturity 201 is the next step for those who have completed Membership 101. In Maturity 201, we will learn more about what spiritual disciplines are and what it looks like to practice these daily. The New Testament reveals that Christ-followers are expected to mature in their faith and relationship with Christ and spiritual disciplines are the tool God has given us to do just that. This is a great opportunity for any who are looking to grow in their relationship with Christ and become better equipped to lead others to do the same.

  • "An Overview of the Psalms" / Led by Pastor Larry Kirby (Co-Ed; Sanctuary Study)
The Psalms are a collection of songs and poems from ancient Israel that sometimes can be difficult to understand let alone apply. If you feel the same about the Psalms, be sure to join Pastor Larry as he works through the five books of the Psalms. Each week, Pastor Larry will take a specific psalm to cover in-depth breaking that psalm down into digestible pieces that you can understand and be able to apply its meaning for your life’s context. This is going to be a great study for those looking to dive a little deeper into the Psalms.
